Your Food Preparation tutor, Kerryn teams up with your Project Management & Sustainable Business tutor, Thalea, to guide you through a week long food challenge as the framework for learning about food from garden to table by teaching you to prepare & launch a pop up cafe serving the Golden Bay community.  You will create a business plan, learn alternative exchange structures, plan a menu using only local, organic in season ingredients, do marketing & run a cafe for a pop up lunch.  All in a day's work really. 

Kerryn will also take you on field trips to local restaurants, have guest speakers, show you how to preserve food and make delicious healthy sweets. With a great combination of short, punchy presentations, live demonstrations, field trips, & real world experiences, this module is an exciting, informative journey into the world of food and healthy, sustainable eating.
