The Golden Bay Sustainable Living Centre (GBSLC) is all about community so participation of all is actively encouraged. Here are some ways YOU can become involved:

HOST A SUSTAINABLE LIVING COURSE STUDENT

Twice a year the GBSLC hosts our Golden Bay Sustainable Living Course for 11 weeks from March to May and September to November. Some of our students will be coming from out of town and will need accommodation. It's a great opportunity for local people to get to know some really amazing people of all ages from all walks of life.  Students will of course pay for their accommodation. If you are interested in hosting a student, please fill out this form. It will take about 15 minutes.

BECOME A SUSTAINABLE LIVING COURSE MENTOR

While participating in our Sustainable Living Course, students complete a personal project in one or a combination of our core areas. We are looking for local people who would like to offer their time during the course to mentor a student with their project. To read our "mentor brief" please click here.

BE AN EDUCATOR

The GBSLC is all about organic, sustainable food production and education including all things that make for healthy people and a healthy environment.  If you have knowledge and skills to share with the community, please contact us about running talks, film screenings or workshops at and/or with the support of the Gardens.

VOLUNTEER

Register your interest in volunteering and we will keep you up to date with opportunities to help with everything from helping run our Café to our Beyond Organics Programme, to working bees, festivals and hosting people and events. You can choose what appeals to you.

GROW FOOD AS AN ALLOTMENT HOLDER

We have allotment spaces available which for a very cheap annual lease (either side of $2 a sq m) which entitles you to use of our tool shed and break room facilities and first in on gleaning orchard excesses by koha.

RENT/USE FACILITIES

Hire our small commercially licensed kitchen, pizza oven, Earthbuilding Space (used for talks, home groups, etc), Maker Space, and lovely outdoor park ppace. Very reasonable rates.  Enquiries Murray 0220724569
