Spring Green Foraging Workshop

  • Golden Bay Sustainable Living Centre 24 Waitapu Road Tākaka, Tasman Region, 7110 New Zealand (map)

Discover the wild food growing right under your feet. Join us for a guided walk through the gardens at the SLC and beyond, where we’ll identify common edible weeds and explore their health benefits. Spring is a powerful time for these plants—many act as natural cleansers and tonics, supporting our bodies after the winter months. You’ll learn how to recognise, harvest, and use these herbs safely, along with tips for incorporating them into your meals or herbal remedies.

Come prepared for gentle walking, curiosity, and a fresh look at the “weeds” you might never see the same way again.

When: Sat 13th September, 10-1pm

Where: Sustainable Living Centre

Contribution: Sliding scale $10+ (All proceeds go towards the ongoing costs of maintaining the SLC for our community)

Tutor: John Massey
